Retrace the foots of H.W.Tilman. Bill Tilman was a legendary mountaineer and explorer and was one of the first westerners to visit Nepal since it opened its doors in the late 1940 ies. In 1949 Bill Tilman led a small expedition consisting of Peter Lloyd, Oleg Polunin, J.S.Scott and the Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. And since then very few have done this trek. This trek is part of the Great Himalayan Trail that passes into Langtang valley from Everest via Panch Pokhari and the glaciated Tilman Pass 5308mts. The descent brings you into a different world of alpine meadows and cheese factory.
