Starting 25th Oct
Overview
Not a climb for beginners
Cholatse is a technical climb, graded TD5, suited to advanced climbers looking to challenge themselves above 6,400 metres. Nestled between the Gokyo and Khumbu valleys, our route follows the South West Ridge and involves sustained steep snow and ice climbing — making Cholatse one of the more uncrowded and rewarding Himalayan objectives.
Beyond the climb itself, this expedition takes you through the Gokyo Lakes and to the summit of Gokyo Ri for acclimatisation. Our approach to the mountain is deliberately longer than most outfitters, reflecting our belief in proper, gradual acclimatisation before attempting the peak.
