Overview
The Kanchenjunga Base Camp to Makalu Base Camp trek is an epic, remote traverse through the wild and rugged landscapes of eastern Nepal. This challenging route links two of the world’s highest mountains—Kanchenjunga (8,586m) and Makalu (8,485m)—via high alpine passes, isolated valleys, and traditional villages.
Trekkers experience a raw Himalayan adventure, with dramatic views of snow-capped peaks, deep forested gorges, and the culturally rich communities of the Rai, Limbu, and Sherpa people. The trail crosses high passes like the Lumba Sumba (5,160m), offering spectacular panoramas and a true sense of remoteness.
